Spotlight: Half-brother to Grade 2 hurdle winner Maria's Benefit; bought for 205,000euros in 2023 and hot favourite when easy winner of Chepstow bumper last November; disappointing in final run for Paul Nicholls but he returned for new yard with a promising second on hurdling debut over C&D (good to soft) three weeks ago; travelled smoothly for long way in that race and just about sets the standard on that form; key player.
Spotlight: Solid bumper record for Gearoid O'Loughlin then Paul Nicholls, making the frame in two notable races (including on soft ground) prior to taking advantage of drop in class at Taunton (2m, good) in March; looks interesting now switched to hurdling for Nicky Henderson and yard has won this race six times in last ten years.
Spotlight: Unbeaten in two bumpers last season and he made a promising start over hurdles when runner-up behind a 1-2 shot at Carlisle (2m1f, soft) 18 days ago; that form puts him firmly in the picture and he should benefit from the experience; strongly respected.
Spotlight: Won in April in the last of his four Irish points; disappointing on hurdling debut at Fontwell last month; left that form behind when runner-up at Stratford (2m, good to soft) four weeks ago, behind an easy winner but keeping on well for a clear second and he has each-way claims again.
Spotlight: Won sole Irish point in May 2023 and sold for £75,000 soon afterwards; back from long absence with a win on bumper debut at Ludlow (2m, good to soft) in April and he showed determination in that race; could have a good future at this new discipline and he's in the mix after another break.
Spotlight: Fourth of 12 when joint-favourite for a Worcester bumper (2m, good) last month but he showed promise behind a useful rival in that race; has plenty of stamina in pedigree but he's a half-brother to four hurdle winners and needs a close look on this switch to jumping.
Spotlight: Weakened in two bumpers and the same story when fourth of seven on recent hurdling debut at Sandown (2m, good to soft; tongue-tie added); early days but he has plenty to find and remains best watched for now.
Spotlight: First foal; dam lightly raced maiden hurdler, half-sister to winners Alfie Spinner (useful 2m1f-3m2f hurdle/chase), Wensleydale Web (2m1f-2m4f hurdle) and Cousin Nicky (2m3f-3m hurdle/chase); this looks a tough starting point and he is probably best watched.
Spotlight: Second in Kempton bumper (soft) in February 2024 but well held in his three runs since and he was 16l behind Sinnatra over C&D on recent hurdling debut; passed over.
Spotlight: Irish point winner on yielding ground but he hasn't threatened in four runs under rules; made some late headway when fourth on hurdling/seasonal debut at Uttoxeter (2m, heavy) but this is a much stronger race and his stablemate Harbour Island is one of those who sets the standard.
Spotlight: Out of unraced half-sister to smart hurdler Splendid Thyne; runner-up in Irish point in March but only fourth of six on recent hurdling debut at Plumpton (2m, good) and he was beaten 25l.
Spotlight: Big prices and struggled in two hurdle runs (2m) on slow ground this month; one of three runners for yard and he's probably one for longer trips in handicaps.
Spotlight: 0-8 in bumpers and he weakened quickly when tailed off at Galway five weeks ago; can only be watched on hurdling debut.
Spotlight: Runner-up on Irish point debut (yielding to soft) last November but he's struggled in three runs under rules this year and last two have been over hurdles (2m3f/2m).
Spotlight: Flat-bred 6yo; sold for £30,000 after runner-up in Irish point (second attempt) in January 2024; had long spell on sidelines after that and he returned with a remote fifth on recent hurdling debut at Market Rasen (2m4f, good to soft); opposable.

Nicky Henderson has won this six times in the last ten years and his new recruit Act Of Innocence needs a close look on his switch to hurdling. Dual bumper winner Harbour Island was runner-up behind a smart prospect on his hurdling debut at Carlisle but slight preference is for SINNATRA, who started his hurdling career with a close second over C&D three weeks ago and he travelled smoothly for a long way in that race. Last month's Stratford runner-up Park Talk could be in the mix again, while others to keep an eye on are Nice One Eric and point/bumper winner Jorah d'Alma.[David Moon] Show less
